Started doodling today and happened to get really into it. This is the result of my idle hands. It looks really blurry, but only because I'm sort of afraid of using hard-edge brushes and I don't know why. Need to start using it.
Not sure what I want to do with my previous WIP so I'm kind of straying from it for now. I'll come back to it later.

putting some of those hard edges in there will definitely give it a finished touch. If you feel some of the default photoshop brushes are too hard, you can make a custom brush with semi-hard edges or just use a really small sized soft brush.
Thing is, I'm constantly changing my brush size/softness as I paint. That's why I never stick to one custom brush. But I will definitely start practicing with harder-edge brushes. I really don't know what it is about hard-edge brushes that makes me steer away from them.
