Alluring Lines Deadline Extension

Thank You to all of you who submitted their files on time. We received some really good submissions... But its not enough to flesh out the book. So in an attempt to save the project and have as many diverse artists contributing to the book as we can, we are extending the deadline to after the winter break. Now those of you who had things you wanted to submit but felt that the deadline was too soon send them in. Also remember this project is representative of the skill and talent level of our collective. So please everyone step up your game. Remember you never know who will see this work and we want the best you can offer not just a quick sketch you drummed up in 5 min unless its the best damned thing you seen in your life. And those of you who submitted already there is no limit to the amount of submissions you can enter so send more in if you can. If anyone needs scanning come into the service bureau and scan you work or ask for help in photographing it if its too big for the scanner.

It's a bummer that there wasn't enough, but I, myself, did want to submit more, so sweeeeeeet!

How short on stuff were you guys, anyway?

And I know any amount is good, but perhaps to keep this from happening again, maybe you could ask for people to at least submit a certain amount.

So for instance, you could say "try and submit 3" even though 1 would still be good.

sweeeeet! Does anyone know of any artbooks that other universities have come out with? This isnt strictly bound to NJCU students or alumni but, for the most part we all went/go there or know someone who did.

I actually posted info about the project to my friends from AI and I gave them your email address.

So when is the actual deadline date?

Ciro I believe that Feb 1st is good Hopefully we get lots more submissions. Also everyone who submits although its not definite just think about a short bio. If there is room or the design allows for it will be added. In your bio include any info that you think will present you in a good light.

you guys should check out CreatureArtists.blogspot.com just to give yourselves an idea of what some of the younger artists from the west coast are up to. some of these dudes are still in school. Ringling College always has really impressive student work too, if you guys havent already.

Actually, at the NYCC this year, I scooped up four of Pratt's quarterly student books that the publish for free for students.

If Ciro or Area221 would like to take a look at them, they are more than welcome.

I just have to find them.
