CHROME

i would like to say that rendering chrome is one of the hardest things in the illustrating world. i would also like to say even though jason is my boy, i think he made the samaritan chrome in order to punish for something i did to him in another life. i would say this is almost like giving birth to an eighty pound baby with a turtle shell on its back! ok, i'm done ranting. back to work!

BULL$HIT dude, I have been rendering Chrome and Metal properties for as long as I can remember and is not that hard, as long you can define your source of light and the angles bending your source of light around your form - you are good to go. You just need to be constant and keep checking your light source so that its consistent with your whole piece. Make it convincing and you can fool most people - is that simple. Hope that helps.

yeah i agree with carlos when he says you can BS ur way thru most of it so long as its convincing. in that sense it can be easy. make sure you follow the contour of his form, from his angle most of it will be sky anyway.
